Program Description

Drive to Khor Virap monastery, a pilgrimage place for all Armenians and a cradle of Christianity. A short detour on a narrow road through an outlandish narrow, rocky gorge emerging into a dramatic scenery of rocky mountainous landscape. Visit Areni village famous for its wine and viticulture. Optionally: visit to the cave winery Trinity Canyon Vineyards, which is about 6000 years old. The cave was also famous for the excavation of the oldest shoe in the world. As the road heads higher into amazing valley, above looms the incredibly located Noravank Monastery - a unique construction, spectacularly surrounded by red cliffs. Visit the monastery and enjoy the spectacular views around.
