Program Description

Cruise to the island of La Maddalena. During the cruise, two stops for swimming. Exact stop locations determined during the tour by the captain.  Participants will sail by boat along the islands of Caprera and Santo Stefano. After arriving there, it's time to visit the historic center of La Maddalena Island - the town hall, the Naval Museum and the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, where the treasure of St. Mary Magdalene - a collection of jewelry offered to the patroness as a votive offering - is on display, as well as an altar set - two candelabras and a silver crucifix in the neoclassical style. Next, a trip towards the archipelago of Manto della Madonna, or the Mantle of the Virgin, awash in crystalline water, shimmering in several shades of blue, turquoise and azure. The cruise continues near the island of Budelli, famous for its pink beach, which is not allowed to disembark because it has been a protected area for several years. On the way back, during the cruise, time for lunch consisting of an Italian pasta dish Then a stop on the island of Spargi, at Cala Corsara, the island's most charming bay. There you can admire the natural rock carvings, which due to wind erosion and other atmospheric phenomena have taken on certain forms, such as a witch's head, a dog, a shoe, etc. The tour ends with a return to the port and hotel.

Important information

Regulations of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park

Please find below the rules and restrictions set forth for this season by the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. These measures aim to preserve the natural beauty of the area and ensure a sustainable experience for all visitors.

  • To help prevent beach erosion, passengers arriving via authorized transport vessels are not permitted to bring bags, backpacks, coolers, or inflatable items onto the beach, except for swimming aids (e.g., armbands, small kickboards, flotation rings).
  • Only small waist bags or pouches for carrying personal belongings are allowed.
  • The consumption of food on the beach and interaction with wildlife are strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking is not permitted on the beaches under any circumstances.
  • The use of beach umbrellas is restricted to families with young children (up to 10 years old), senior citizens over 65 years of age, and individuals with certified medical needs.
  • Passengers are strongly encouraged to use beach mats when placing towels on the sand to minimize direct contact. As part of an experimental initiative, towels made from sand-repellent materials (such as microfiber) are permitted.
  • After each beach stop, all guests are required to rinse off any sand from their legs and feet using the freshwater hose system available on board each vessel before reboarding.
  • We kindly ask for your support in promoting waste separation on board. Clearly labeled containers will be available for different types of waste, accompanied by informative signage. Ashtrays will also be provided for the proper disposal of cigarettes and cigars.
  • The disposal of any kind of waste into the sea is strictly prohibited.
  • In accordance with the environmental policies of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, all vessels participating in excursions are committed to using compostable and biodegradable materials (e.g., plates, cups, cutlery). Additionally, the use of music and public address systems will be kept to a respectful volume, except in the case of emergency announcements.
