Program Description

After breakfast, departure by bus with a guide to reach the Madonie, a Sicilian mountain. Arrival in Gratteri, an ancient medieval village located at 700mt of altitude. The next stop is the Gibilmanna’s Sanctuary, surrounded by beautiful mediterranean vegetation. The sanctuary, dedicated to the Madonna, is located at 800mt of height above the sea level. Arrival in Castelbuono, an ancient fief of the county of Geraci. Visit of the Matrice Vecchia built in year 1350, and of the imposing Ventimiglia Castle. Inside the castle we will visit the palatine chapel which houses the relics of Santa Anna (optional). Afterwords departure for a typical lunch in country house surrounded by gardens. Continue to Petralia for a short stop before returning to the hotel.

Depending on the season, the pickup may not be directly at the hotel due to limited access for large buses. In such cases, a local shuttle (approx. €6 per person, paid on the spot) may be required to reach the general pickup point.
