Program Description

Drive through the picturesque tourist towns on the east coast of Mallorca. The road leads to the fishing village of Porto Cristo, where in the vicinity the of the port French geologists discovered underground caves in the 19th century. In ancient times they were an escape for privateers and pirates, who often tormented the island with their invasions, today they are a tourist attraction, available for visitors. Admiring many chambers that extend below the ground in seaside limestone cliffs over a length of several hundred meters. The bizarre shapes of the thousands of stalactites and stalagmites resemble marble cascade, organs, lace drapes and chandeliers with gems. Additionally, the program of the trip includes a short visit to the factory of artificial pearls, which there will be an opportunity to learn about the process of production and purchase jewelry typical of the island or a visit to a typical Mallorcan farm. Chosen guided language available subject to minimal number of participants.

The trip as a whole had its pros and cons. As for the cave tour, in my opinion, it`s not particularly noteworthy (I`d rate it 4/10). The cave itself is spacious, but feels "dead" and rundown...
