Program Description

Transfer from hotels to Sri Lanka's capital. To start the tour, visit the historic horse racing track, opened in 1893, which was converted into an airstrip during World War II. Today, it is surrounded by luxury boutiques offering brand-name clothing and numerous eateries and tea stores. Next, an opportunity to shop at a posh tea store called Mlesna, as well as visit a cashew nut store and browse through the extensive clothing collection at Majestic City shopping center. Next on the agenda will be a visit to the Lanka Ceramics Center, known for its Noritake Set series and other ceramic wares, and the popular Odel Shop in Lipton Place. Return to hotels.
