Program Description
Volcanic landscapes, picturesque towns and one of the world's oldest dragon trees - this full-day trip will take you to some of the most fascinating places in northern Tenerife. You'll admire the majestic Mount Teide, visit historic towns and discover landscapes that showcase the remarkable diversity of this Canary Island.
Your first stop will be Teide National Park, located in the heart of Tenerife and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where you'll find Mount Teide, Spain's highest peak, rising to 3,718 metres. The surrounding landscape is shaped by vast fields of solidified lava, craters and unusual rock formations that resemble the surface of another planet.
During an approximately 30-minute stop, you'll admire the volcanic scenery of Las Cañadas del Teide and the distinctive Roques de García - impressive rock formations shaped by natural forces over thousands of years. It's one of Tenerife's most iconic sights!
Next, you'll head to Icod de los Vinos, a town famous for its remarkable Drago Milenario, an ancient dragon tree estimated to be over 800 years old. Its enormous trunk, sprawling branches and distinctive canopy make it one of the Canary Islands' most important natural symbols. During your visit, you'll see this extraordinary tree and discover why it has fascinated visitors for centuries.
The programme also includes free time for lunch, when you can choose a restaurant independently or sample traditional Canarian dishes at one of the recommended local restaurants. It's a great opportunity to relax and discover the flavours of the island.
The tour also includes Garachico and Masca - two of Tenerife's most distinctive destinations. Garachico is known for its historic architecture and coastal setting, while Masca is famous for its dramatic mountain scenery and traditional houses surrounded by steep slopes. Both places offer a fascinating insight into the island's natural and cultural diversity.
This tour of northern Tenerife combines volcanic landscapes, local history and Canarian traditions. In just one day, you'll discover some of the island's most characteristic attractions.
