Program Description

The Aeolian Islands captivate with their combination of deep blue sea, dramatic volcanic landscapes and authentic Italian atmosphere. During this excursion, You will discover the most picturesque corners of this UNESCO-listed archipelago and see places where nature has been shaping the scenery for thousands of years.

The journey begins in the morning at the port of Tropea, from where You will sail towards the Aeolian Islands. The first stop will be Vulcano - an island known for its raw volcanic scenery and unique atmosphere. For centuries, the island has been shaped by geothermal activity, while the black sand beaches and azure sea highlight its distinctive character. During your free time, You can relax by the water, enjoy a walk along the coastline or take a swim.

The next stop will be Lipari - the largest and liveliest island in the archipelago. Strolling through the charming streets of the historic centre, You will discover a Mediterranean atmosphere filled with small cafés, local shops and picturesque corners. You may also visit the Archaeological Museum, which tells the fascinating story of the Aeolian Islands and their volcanic origins. Optional boat trips and sea activities are also available for those who wish to explore even more.

In the afternoon, You will sail around Stromboli - one of Europe’s most famous volcanic islands. From the boat, You will admire the spectacular Sciara del Fuoco, also known as the “Stream of Fire” - a steep lava slope descending directly into the sea. It is one of the most remarkable natural landscapes in the Mediterranean and a symbol of Stromboli’s active volcano, which has been continuously active for thousands of years.

Return to the port of Tropea is planned in the evening.

The order of the tour and the programme may change.

The trip was beautiful. The care from the guide and Itaka was practically nonexistent. There were a lot of people on the ferry.

Unfortunately, the sulfur pools at Volcano were closed, which we weren`t informed about at the time of booking, nor was the tour guide aware of. Other than that, it was a very nice trip; it`...
