Program Description

Although Vincent van Gogh sold only one painting during his lifetime, his works are now among the most recognisable in the world. At the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, you will discover the world's largest collection of works by the Dutch master and explore the story of the man whose art forever changed the course of painting - from his earliest creations to the masterpieces that made him one of the most celebrated artists in history.

During your visit, you will see more than 200 paintings, drawings and letters by Vincent van Gogh. The collection includes famous landscapes, still lifes and expressive self-portraits. Among the highlights are world-famous masterpieces such as The Potato Eaters, Almond Blossom, Two Cut Sunflowers and Irises. Each work reflects a different stage of Van Gogh's artistic journey, offering a deeper insight into his unique vision and creative development.

The exhibition also features works by artists who were active during the same period, allowing you to better understand how Van Gogh's style evolved and what made his work stand out among his contemporaries.

The museum is located on the famous Museumplein, surrounded by some of Amsterdam's most important cultural attractions, making it easy to combine your visit with exploring the city.

Your timed-entry ticket allows you to begin your visit smoothly and discover the works of an artist whose legacy continues to inspire art lovers around the world at your own pace.
